Myriad of Myriad

I had started with the default font of this blog being Myriad Pro, not everyone would be able to see it, but a good amount of people would be able to see it. Both my laptop and my desktop have the Myriad font installed so both would be able to see it "as it should be", my Linux distro does not though so it would see Arial. Even the computer at my work has Myriad installed.

So with the exception of my Linux distro one would think that all three computers would be able to see my blog "properly" and all three were able to see the Myriad font. Yet all three saw them differently.

The desktop saw what I beleived to be normal Myriad, the laptop's display of Myriad looked as if the tracking was all whacky and the compter at work decided to display the italic version of Myriad. It is now quite obvious as to why web developers stick with the web standard fonts, even when the font is available, not everyone is going to be seeing the same thing.
